A location page lists the practitioners with a public office in that part of Sydney, alphabetically. Proximity is one thing to weigh and usually not the most important one: most legal work is done by correspondence, and the court a matter is listed in is rarely the nearest one to either of you.
Only suburbs that have at least one listing get a page. A suburb with nothing behind it would be a page written to be found rather than to be read, and this directory does not publish those.

What a location here means
The address of a public office, as the firm publishes it. It does not mean the practitioner only acts for people in that suburb, that they attend the local court, or that they live there.
Before you choose on distance alone
- Ask which court or tribunal your matter would be listed in. It may not be the closest one to either of you.
- Ask how the practice communicates and whether attendance in person is expected.
- Check the public register kept by the Law Society of New South Wales, whichever suburb you found someone in.
