Lawyers of Sydney is an editorial directory of Sydney legal practitioners, published at lawyersofsydney.com.au and operated by Jameson Law. It is not a government register, not the Law Society, and not a referral service.
This is not legal advice, and we are not your lawyer
Nothing on this site is legal advice and nothing on it creates a lawyer and client relationship between you and anyone. Using the directory, reading a guide or contacting the editorial team does none of those things.
A relationship with a practitioner begins when they and you agree it does, after their own conflict check and on their own costs agreement. That is between you and them.
What a listing is
A listing records what the firm’s own public pages said about that practitioner, and the date those pages were read.
It is not a verification that the person is entitled to practise today, not a statement that they are competent, and not a recommendation. Entitlement to practise changes, and the authority on it is the public register kept by the Law Society of New South Wales — not this site.
- Results are ordered alphabetically. Nothing changes that order.
- A listing marked Sponsored is paid for. Payment is never a verification, and a Sponsored listing appears exactly where an unpaid one would.
- No price, plan or payment is offered on this site at present.
If you ask to be listed
You confirm that you are entitled to give us the information you send, that it is accurate, and that the contact details you ask us to publish are ones you want published.
You give us permission to publish that information here and to keep publishing it until you ask us to stop. You keep whatever rights you had in it.
Nothing you send is published by sending it. It is read first, and may be refused, edited for accuracy against the public page it relates to, or returned with a question.
- Do not submit anything about a client or a matter.
- Do not submit anyone else's details as your own.
- We may remove a listing at any time, and we will say why if you ask.
What we do not promise
That the directory is complete, current or free of error. It is an editorial product maintained by people, it is new, and it will be wrong somewhere.
That the site will be available. It may be down, and it may change or close.
Nothing here limits any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be limited.
Links to other sites
Credential sources, regulators and practitioners’ own sites are linked because they are the authority on what they say. We do not control them, we are not responsible for them, and a link is not an endorsement. Outbound links here carry rel=”nofollow”: a directory should not pass search authority to a listing.
Changing these terms
They may change. The date at the top is when they last did. Using the site after that is accepting the version then published.
These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales.
