Getting in touch with the editorial team
The editorial team keeps the directory. It does not act for you, and it cannot advise you about your matter.
Contact the editorial team about listings, corrections or directory membership. This directory does not provide legal advice.
If you need legal advice
We cannot give it, and we cannot recommend a practitioner to you. Use the directory to find people who work in the area you need, check each one on the public register kept by the Law Society of New South Wales, and ring them yourself.
If your matter is urgent — you have a court date, a deadline on a notice, or you have been arrested — do not wait on us. Contact a practitioner or a legal service directly.
If a listing about you is wrong
Tell us and it is read before anything changes. A correction to a published listing is not applied by the person it describes: it is compared against the public page the listing was compiled from, and then made, refused, or referred back with a question.
If you have an account here, send the change from your account page. If you do not, write to the editorial team and say which listing you mean.
- Corrections to a name, a firm, a public contact detail or an area of practice.
- A request that a listing be taken down entirely.
- A credential source that has moved, or that no longer says what the listing says it says.
If you want to be listed
Use the listing request page. It asks for your name, your firm, your public contact details, the areas you work in, the languages you work in, and a public page where your credential can be checked.
Submissions are not open yet, and nothing sent to us appears on the site by being sent.
If you want to complain about a practitioner
This is not the place, and we have no power to act on it. Complaints about an Australian legal practitioner in New South Wales go to the Office of the Legal Services Commissioner, which is independent of us and of the profession.
We will remove a listing where a regulator’s public record shows the person is no longer entitled to practise. We will not adjudicate a dispute between you and a practitioner, because we are not equipped to and it would be wrong to pretend otherwise.
Where to write
Write to [email protected]. If your message is about a particular listing, please name the practitioner or firm it concerns so the editorial team can find it.
